Kristie Smith joined the Rigel staff in 1998 where she originally participated in the sales team. Since then, Smith has risen to be the Vice President of Administration and Worldwide Distribution where she brings to Rigel an extensive international client/buyers base and in depth understanding of international sales, distribution and production, as well as a full range of experience in domestic and international contract administration, post-production, and worldwide sales and distribution services related to television and feature film productions.
Due to her diverse background and years of industry experience, Ms. Smith is responsible for several key areas of the company including corporate administration and HR Management, negotiating and drafting of all international distribution agreements, managing and overseeing worldwide sales servicing and sales support division, as well as post-production delivery on all new productions.
Previous to joining Rigel, Smith had over a decade of executive-level experience in the entertainment industry having worked for such companies as Filmways International, Orion Pictures, Four Star International, and New World Entertainment, and has been involved in the international production, distribution and financing of hundreds of television programs and motion pictures. |
